Wanda M. Johnson, J.D.

Wanda is an experienced federal government contractor, labor and employment professional, and entrepreneur. She leads PREEMPT’s operations and brings deep expertise in human capital, discrimination, harassment, service contract and wage-hour laws, union and management-labor relations, investigations, and federal contracting compliance. Her legal background supports PREEMPT’s compliance with federal contracting laws, including the Service Contract Labor Standards.

Before founding PREEMPT, Wanda practiced labor and employment law and served as an enforcement attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Solicitor’s Office, where she helped the government collect millions of dollars in back wages from companies and federal contractors. She also has experience with contractor debarment matters under SCLS/SCA, both from the enforcement and defense perspectives.

Wanda previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Michael L. Rankin of the District of Columbia Superior Court. She is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and is committed to “Economic Empowerment through Equal Opportunity,” entrepreneurship, and visionary leadership. She earned her law degree from Howard University, her bachelor’s degree from Delaware State University, and is a Certified Mediator.
