DALLAS – Memphis-based International Paper, Co., one of the world’s largest producers of fiber-based products such as packaging materials and fiber pulp, violated federal law by discriminating against an applicant based on his disability, ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder), the federal agency announced today. The EEOC said that International Paper discriminated by rescinding the applicant’s conditional job offer, and by failing or refusing to provide the applicant a reasonable accommodation as part of the hiring process.
