RALEIGH, N.C. — Smithfield Fresh Meats Corp., a pork processing company with a location in Tar Heel, North Carolina, will pay $245,000 and provide other relief to settle a pregnancy discrimination lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the federal agency announced today.
