One Million More Entrepreneurs
After Covid-19 hit around 2019, we would venture to state there are now one million more entrepreneurs in America! However prior to 2019, according to a 2015 article that appeared in the Washington Post, May 21, 2015, America was missing 1 million more entrepreneurs. At the start of the 1970s, about 3% of U.S. households started a new business every year and the trend continued through the 1980s at 3% and 1990s by 5%. However, by the 2000’s entrepreneurial growth stalled and the rate fell. Assuming that the rates would have continued in a positive direction at a 3%-5% growth rate per decade then the U.S. would have seen 1 million more entrepreneurs over the last decade than it actually did.
Because PREEMPT believes that entrepreneurs are pivotal to our American economy and vital to our communities, PREEMPT has launched a campaign to create and support “One Million More Entrepreneurs SM”. During the next decade, PREEMPT will aggressively reach out to various individuals, businesses and organizations to work to increase the total number of entrepreneurs in America.
